Christian Wedding

The Christian wedding begins with the traditional engagement party hosted by the bride's family followed by bridal shower which consists of only women. At groom's side bachelor party is hosted just before the wedding.

The traditional Christian wedding is performed in a church with an official presiding over the  altar, and the groom with his best man, standing on his right to wait for the bride. Then the bride arrives and she is greeted by the best man with a kiss and her wedding bouquet. The bride proceeds to the waiting bridegroom at the altar with her father alongwith bridesmaid.

She then stands beside the groom and the priest starts the wedding ceremony by reading from Old testament/Bible and then his sermon will offer advises to  bride and groom. He then asks them to take the marriage vows and this is followed by exchanging the rings. They are then pronounced as husband and wife by the priest which is followed by the traditional wedding kiss.

The wedding is followed by the reception. The bride and the groom dance the first dance in this reception, followed by the bride and her father/the groom and his mother, the groom and bride's mother, the bride and groom's father, the bride and the best man, the groom and the maid of honour.
